We have arranged two lodging choices during CEF 2007.  One is our "official" hotel in downtown Montréal, approximately 20 minutes from HEC Montréal by subway; the other is the residence halls on campus at the Université de Montréal, approximately 10 minutes walk to HEC Montréal.  See the information below and link to each website for additional information.

DoubleTree Plaza Hotel Montréal Centre-Ville

We selected the DoubleTree for its superb combination of comfort, amenities and very convenient location adjacent to the Sherbrooke Metro station making access to HEC Montréal by subway as easy as possible.  A limited number of standard rooms has been contracted at the discounted rate of $139 CAD (approx US$120) plus taxes for the nights of June 13 through 16.  The deadline for making reservations at this rate is May 15, 2007 but we encourage you to book early.  After our block of rooms is filled, which could happen even before May 15, then rooms might not be available at all or they may be charged at the much higher prevailing rate.  The discounted rate will also be offered on a space available basis several days before and after the conference.

To make hotel reservations by telephone:

+1-514-842-8581 (or toll-free from US or Canada: 1-800-561-4644).  Be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of CEF 2007 to receive our discounted rate.

To make hotel reservations online:

Use the link below to access the DoubleTree reservation system, then follow these instructions:

  • In the "Find a Hotel" section, enter Montréal, Quebec, Canada as the requested city, and verify that "Doubletree Hotels" shows as the hotel brand, but do NOT enter your Check-in and Check-out dates on the first screen.  Then click on the button labeled "Find It".

  • On the "Search Results" screen, in the Doubletree Plaza Hotel Montréal section, click on the button labeled "View Rates".  Again, do NOT enter your Check-in and Check-out dates yet.

  • Now, on the "Dates and Preferences" page, enter your Check-in and Check-out dates and any other room type preferences.  In the section labeled "Special Accounts" you MUST enter CEP in the "Group/Convention Code" field.  Then click on the "Continue" button.

  • Continue through the screens, entering information and making selections as requested by the reservation system.
